dreaming of Truro…

January is the time of year I start daydreaming about being in Truro(Cape Cod), where we go every summer to vacation. I love to imagine the balmy breezes and going barefoot in the sand vs. the cold january reality of wool socks and fleece.

Sky blue pink is what my family and I call this gorgeous sunset color that we see in Truro.

These two photos both show the same work – Shimmer – which was influenced by the Truro sky. The interference pigments change color depending on how the light is hitting the painting, hence the really different palettes in the two photos.

I currently have two works in a show at The Post Road Art Center Mixed Media 2009 juried show, and Mind(e) scape won first place in the show! The other piece in the show is Connexion. My piece Cellwalk is currently in the Preview Show at the Amazing Things Art Center, in Framingham.
